TRASHY THURSDAY
Corvallis River Guardians Program

WHAT: River Guardians Trashy Thursday - Corvallis
WHEN: Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 9AM-1PM

DETAILS: Join Willamette Riverkeeper, along with our partners at the City of Corvallis Oregon State Parks, and the American Canoe Association - come volunteer with the Corvallis River Guardians as we float the Willamette River from Crystal Lake Boat Ramp to Michael's Landing to pick up trash and debris from the urban riverbanks. Limited seating in rafts, or Bring Your Own Boat (BYOB).

IF YOU ARE BYOB; PLEASE ARRIVE AT CRYSTAL LAKE BOAT RAMP NO LATER THAN 9AM to unload your boat/gear. We will shuttle to Michael's Landing at 9:30AM sharp.

IF YOU HAVE RESERVED A SEAT IN A BOAT; MEET AT MICHAEL'S LANDING AT 9:30AM to join a shuttle carpool to the launch at Crystal Lake (Willamette Park) Boat Ramp so your car is available at the take out.

Please dress for the weather - bring snacks, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate layers, including a hat, neck gaitor and/or gloves for colder temperatures. This is a rain or shine event! We will have extra dry bags available to help carry your items safely. Wear closed-toe hard soled shoes and bring water to stay hydrated. PFDs provided in registration for those without - please note PFDs are required for all participants. Trash bags, pickers, gloves, tarps and tools for trash removal will also be supplied.

BYOB'rs should be comfortable paddling in strong current. Please use PFDs appropriate for use on the river - no inflatable PFDs.
