Maurie Jacobs Park Cleanup

WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper and the City of Eugene Parks and Open Spaces as we get dirty for GOOD during our Great Willamette Clean Up Series! 

WHEN & WHERE: Saturday, October 9th, 10am - 1pm at Maurie Jacobs Park. Meet at 10am sharp for safety talk on the south side of the Valley River footbridge, just north of the soccer field, to check in and receive a safety talk before heading out. 

DETAILS: Please wear weather appropriate clothing, pack along water, a face mask to be worn during check in and when working in close proximity to others, work gloves if you have them and sturdy close toed shoes. We will provide trash bags, non-latex gloves and trash pickers. 

As it is Halloween weekend, we invite all volunteers to get into the spirit of things and come dressed in holiday flare!

TRASH OR TREASURE CONTEST: During the cleanup, keep on the lookout  and take photos of your unique trash finds for our Trash or Treasure Contest! Tag Willamette Rivereeper and #GreatWillametteCleanup in your photos on Instagram and Facebook. Winners will be announced at the end of the month.
