WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper and the City of Eugene Parks and Open Spaces as we get dirty for GOOD during our Great Willamette Clean Up Series!
WHEN & WHERE: Saturday, October 30th, 10am - 12pm starting at the Owosso Footbridge. Meet at 10am sharp for safety talk on the west side of the Owosso footbridge, located on the river path, at the end of Owosso Street, from River Road in Eugene. We'll work together as a group heading south along the west bank to Hillcrest Drive, where we'll consolidate trash bags for pickup by our local Eugene Parks team.
DETAILS: Please wear weather appropriate clothing, pack along water, a face mask to be worn during check in and when working in close proximity to others, work gloves if you have them and sturdy close toed shoes. We will provide trash bags, non-latex gloves and trash pickers.
As it is Halloween weekend, we invite all volunteers to get into the spirit of things and come dressed in holiday flare!
TRASH OR TREASURE CONTEST: During the cleanup, keep on the lookout and take photos of your unique trash finds for our Trash or Treasure Contest! Tag Willamette Rivereeper and #GreatWillametteCleanup in your photos on Instagram and Facebook. Winners will be announced at the end of the month.
