WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper and the City of Eugene REC team as we give back to our mighty Willamette River. Bring your own boat or reserve a seat in ours and help clear trash from the islands and riverbanks in Eugene.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 | 8:30AM-1PM
WHERE: Please meet at River House Outdoor Center (301 N. Adams Street) at 8:30AM to rig and move boats to the beach where we will launch. We will shuttle you back to your car afterwards, using a City of Eugene bus transport. Plan to be back at your vehicle around 1PM.
DETAILS: Please wear winter appropriate clothing including a hat or warm neck gator, layers, and raingear tops and bottoms. Wool socks and tennis shoes or other closed-toe footgear that can get wet. Please also bring water and snacks as needed. We will provide trash bags, non-latex gloves, trash pickers and masks for those without their own. Volunteers are required to wear PFDs at all times working on or in the water.
NOTE: All BYOBrs should be proficient paddling in Class II moving water on this segment of the river.
