Five regional Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP) workshops will be held in May and June 2018 throughout the State of Maryland. The meetings are part of Maryland’s engagement strategy for Phase III WIP development. The meetings are intended to inform participants about the Phase III WIP process, provide opportunities for questions and feedback, and promote interaction between local partners and state agencies. Presentations will be made by staff of Maryland Departments of Agriculture, Environment, Natural Resources, and Planning. Topics include Conowingo, wastewater, agriculture, funding, and much more.
The workshops are sponsored by the Harry R. Hughes Center for Agro-Ecology of the University of Maryland and funded by the Town Creek Foundation so there is no cost to you to participate. The doors will open at 9:30 am with the meeting hours beginning at 10:00 am and concluding by 4:00 PM. Lunch is included. A detailed agenda will be emailed to participants closer to the date.
