2019 FAP Listening Session - Central MD (Frederick)

Six listening sessions will be held in May 2019 to aid in the development of Maryland Forest Service’s 2020 Forest Action Plan (FAP). The FAP is a document that assesses the current state of the forest resources and lays out the strategy for addressing forestry priorities in the state. The FAP is a critical strategic planning tool both for communicating priorities to decision-makers and citizens, and for seeking federal funding for shared regional priorities.

These listening sessions have the purpose of allowing stakeholders to provide feedback on how the FAP should be structured and what it should include. Sessions are held across the state and are open to the public.

There is no cost to participate in the sessions. They are sponsored by the Harry R. Hughes Center for Agro-Ecology of the University of Maryland.

You may register using the link below. Information presented will be identical at all events. An agenda will be emailed to participants closer to the event dates. Doors will open at 12:30 pm with the meeting beginning at 1:00 pm and concluding by 4:00 pm. We hope that you will be able to attend and support the State’s effort to update the FAP.

Please contact Nancy Nunn at (410) 827-8056 with any questions.
