This half-day conference will focus on the tools needed to make your Park Advisory Council successful. Presenters from the Chicago Park District, Friends of the Parks, Park Advisory Councils, and other experts from the not-for-profit world will speak on topics focusing on fundraising, programming and best practices.
New this year, department representatives of the Chicago Park District will open the event with a panel discussion regarding changes at the Park District. Following the panel discussion will be a question and answer session. Please email your questions in advance to stonem@fotp.org by February 20, 2012.
Another new feature this year is a poster session! If you missed a session you will have the opportunity to see a case study of that session. This is also a great opportunity to learn what other PACs are doing. If your PAC would like to submit a poster, please contact Fran Vandervoort at vandersand@sbcglobal.net.
Finally, we heard your requests for more networking time, so the 2012 conference will feature a networking session at 1 pm. You will have the opportunity to speak to presenters and fellow PAC members while enjoying coffee and afternoon treats in the beautiful Solarium.
Remember, this is a green event, so please bring a water bottle or cup!
We look forward to seeing you.
