Help us fulfill our ASCE KC Vision: Civil Engineers are global leaders building a better quality of life

In our most recent Section newsletter, a new community-focused tradition was announced. Each year, the KC Section President's Local Cause will rally our Section around a local charity or non-profit organization.

We are excited to launch this new initiative with Hope Lodge Kansas City (American Cancer Society) Annual Fundraising Event Shave to Save. We will be serving this organization with volunteers to tear down at the completion of the event.The Kansas City Hope Lodge facility opened its doors in 2000 and has served over 17,500 patients and caregivers, providing lodging free of charge for patients travelling greater than 40 miles for treatment.

Additional Details

Volunteers may attend full event free of charge

Volunteers may participate in live/silent auction during event

Volunteers must be 21+ (alcoholic beverages may be enjoyed after responsibilities are completed)

Event Program:

5:45 pm All volunteers to check in at Registration with Event Volunteer Coordinator, Ashton Wells

6:00 pm Cocktails, Hors d'oeuvres & Silent Auction

7:15 pm Program & Live Auction

8:45 pm Tear Down Volunteers receive direction from Volunteer Coordinator

9:00 pm Buzz Bash Begins

11:00 pm Event Concludes, Tear Down
