More Information on the Emerging Leaders Institute

Leadership development is a vital tool for personal growth and development. A great leader maximizes productivity, promotes a positive organizational culture, and inspires others. The Emerging Leaders Institute is a training event designed to enhance and strengthen the leadership skills of social workers and service providers working with clients and communities to reduce and end homelessness in the rural Southeast. Participants will discuss the role that leadership plays in organizations and practice key leadership concepts that will help them become more effective leaders in their organizations and communities.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn how to cultivate rural leadership to strengthen the homeless system of care and promote new supportive housing opportunities.
  • Discover how to own your intentional personal and professional growth.
  • Develop your leadership "toolkit" by applying leadership principles such as brand development, a positive attitude, coachable moments and the mirror for self-reflection.

Continuing Education credits (CEUs) will be offered for this Institute. General, counseling and social work CEUs will be available.

More Information on Collaborative Solutions, Inc.

Collaborative Solutions, a national expert in rural housing policy and practice, has worked with service providers, municipalities, and state agencies throughout the U.S. in an effort to increase permanent supportive housing for vulnerable populations, including those living with HIV/AIDS, serious mental illness, substance abuse and disability, and those experiencing homelessness. Vulnerable populations often face housing instability due to a number of factors, including lack of access to health systems and poor health outcomes. It is the belief of Collaborative Solutions that housing is a structural intervention, stabilizing the household through a safe, decent, and affordable home, which in turn allows that household to thrive with positive health outcomes, gainful employment, economic security, and overall greater well-being. We believe that housing is healthcare and a right for all.
