Integrative Microneedling for Acupuncturists

microneedling practicum
Come To Learn:
  •  An eastern and western perspective to an innovative modality that is exploding in the cosmetic industry.

  • A holistic protocol for dermarolling, dermastamping and motorized microneedling on the face and neck.  We’ll share benefits, contraindictions, pre and post care recommendations, effective and appropriate skincare products, device comparisons, treatment strategies, safety concerns and more.

  • The legalities, insurance, scope of practice and business marketing to navigate a rapidly growing and changing field. We’ll provide all of the information you need to perform this healthy, effective and potentially lucrative specialty.

  • Due to the intensive hands-on nature of the material, we are limiting class size to 15 students, taught by Diana Horowitz, L.Ac., and assisted by Amelia Vargas, L.Ac.

14 NCCAOM CEU'S APPROVED!

Requirement: Basic facial rejuvenation acupuncture certification of any style. Participants who do not yet have this certification need to enroll in a Foundations of Constitutional Facial Renewal acupuncture seminar within one year of taking the microneedling seminar.

Scope of Practice: If you practice acupuncture outside of Colorado, please check your state's scope of practice before registering for this seminar to make sure that it includes microneedling with a dermaroller and a motorized device.

Diana Horowitz, L.Ac. and Amelia Vargas, L.Ac. and Licensed Esthetician, serendipitously discovered motorized microneedling independently of each other in 2015. As facial rejuvenation acupuncturists both trained in The Wakefield Technique, they strongly shared a belief in supporting a patient’s constitution during any facial rejuvenation acupuncture process. Through more than a year of experimentation, Diana and Amelia created their own holistic microneedling protocol to support the health of one's skin and body/mind/spirit. In February 2016, they gained the support of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado in determining that microneedling is within an acupuncturists scope of practice, and became Microneedling Co-Chairs on the AAC’s Board of Directors.

Their purpose is to open the door of this primarily western cosmetic practice to acupuncturists while honoring microneedling’s roots in Chinese medicine. They would love to share the knowledge and experience they’ve gained on their microneedling journey with you.

"I took EastWest's Integrative Microneedling seminar with Diana and Amelia and was impressed by the research they did breaking down the history and science of microneedling and the Chinese medicine protocol that they've created. The class was well organized and the information and hands-on portion were very helpful.  My patients are amazed at how great their skin is looking when I combine microneedling with my new device into their cosmetic acupuncture treatments! Their cosmetic treatments are holding longer than before - fine lines are not coming back and the lift under the jawline and over the eyes are holding more so than with cosmetic acupuncture alone. I have not spent any time marketing and within three months I have already paid for the cost of the class, the microneedling device and turned a profit. Acupuncture skincare specialists, I highly recommend taking this class!" - Rachael Rose, L.Ac.

FEES:

Please note that we are offering a larger than usual discount of 15% for Acupuncture Association of Colorado (AAC) members to attend our seminar. Why? Because the AAC is the backbone of our profession. The AAC needs you to help protect and promote our profession, including the right to practice microneedling! If you are not already a member of the AAC, please become one before registering for our seminar at www.acucol.com

Cancellation policy: a full refund minus a $30 processing fee if you cancel four weeks or more in advance of the seminar date. Otherwise, within the four weeks, a refund of your deposit is based on whether we can fill your spot in the seminar.

If the seminar needs to be cancelled by the instructors, the instructors will refund all participants in full.
