Meet our distinquished panel......

Suzanne Schultz, Owner, Canvas Fine Arts

Suzanne studied art history at the University of Massachusetts and Atlantic Union College. She also studied interior design at The Boston Architectural Center in Boston and even pursued her interest in culinary arts in Tuscany. Complementing her diverse educational pursuits, Suzanne has successfully managed many Boston area galleries over the past decade. Suzanne founded Canvas Fine Arts in 2007 to provide exposure for artists and help them achieve their career goals.

Suzanne will illustrate how art is the finishing touch to a room. It can add color, personify, create a theme and expand or control a space. See some examples of how art can make a room unforgettable!

Amir Shiranian, Owner, Medallion Gallery

Amir is the third generation in a distinguished line of rug dealers and has spent his life immersed in the worlds of carpet-weaving and fine textiles who grew up in the heart of the Persian rug industry learning the business from his father and grandfather. Throughout his life Amir has explored the world, learning about and acquiring the finest rugs and fabrics available. He has recently capitalized on his expertise by producing a new line of custom made rugs using only fine hand spun wool and herbal dyes to create the finest heirloom quality rugs available.

Amir will present the elements to look for in hand made rugs, qualities to look for in fine, heirloom rugs as well as the processes in producing custom rugs.

Diana James, Creative Director Medallion Gallery & Interior Designer, East Coast Design

Diana's passion for architecture, art and design are lifelong. Her extensive background in window treatments began as the Hunter Douglas regional manager, teaching designers how to specify, measure and sell shades and shutters . As an interior designer for over 12 years, with an in house work room, her skills in providing solutions for complicated and difficult projects have resulted in beautiful window treatments for residential and commercial clients. Diana's work combines the vision of an artist with her creative hand in color, materials and style, with the technical skill and expertise in executing her vision into reality.

Diana will provide solutions in tackling difficult to cover windows using drapery, shades, shutters and motorization.

George Colby, Master Cabinetmaker, Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers

George has been a master furniture maker with Thos. Moser since 2007. Having completed the highly acclaimed Thos. Moser Apprenticeship for 4 1/2 years he has built every piece of the product line.

George is highly regarded as a cross-functional multi-skilled cabinetmaker and will share his knowledge on the technique and craftsmanship that goes into high quality, bench-made furniture.

 

Chris Eramo, Territory Manager, Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers

Chris has been involved in the design community for over 25 years. In addition to holding a degree in Interior Design, Chris teaches courses at Rhode Island School of Design on Interior Design and Home Property Staging. His professional experiences have included owner of Paul Christopher Designs, Territory manager of Thos. Moser and General Manager of Susan Sargent Designs.

Chris' work has been recognized in Boston Magazine, Yankee Magazine, Boston Spirit, SOCO and the New York Times. Chris will pull together all of the elements from each speaker and present examples of legendary rooms. Participants will be encouraged to add their expertise and input as we hang art, place furniture and choose fabrics and rugs for our live workspace.
