SOS Virtual Book Discussion - Leap of Reason

Join us online to discuss the book, Leap of Reason - Managing to Outcomes in an Era of Scarcity, by Mario Morino.

Leap of Reason inspires leaders in the social and public sectors to take bold action to create more meaningful, measurable good for those they serve. The book is the product of decades of management insights from philanthropist Mario Morino, McKinsey & Company, and more than a dozen experts and practitioners.

The authors make a convincing case that the nation’s fiscal challenges will force all of us in the social sector to be clearer about our aspirations, more intentional in defining our approaches, more rigorous in gauging our progress, more willing to admit mistakes, more capable of quickly adapting and improving—all with an unrelenting focus on improving lives.

SOS’s Fall Kick-off in mid-September will feature a speaker from the Leap of Reason organization. Get a head start on understanding the Seven Pillars for the most successful nonprofit leaders by reading the book and joining the discussion.

Free copies of the book are available to all. Paperback copies can be picked up from the porches of SOS members Amy Inman in Glendale; Nancy Garvey in Chesterfield; or Joni Karandjeff in Clayton. (Addresses will be sent in the registration confirmation email.)

Contact Nancy Garvey at ngarvey57@gmail.com to arrange delivery if necessary. The e-book is free on Kindle.

Zoom meeting information will be sent via the registration confirmation email.

This event is presented by the SOS Education Committee.
