EMDR - How It is Effective Treatment for Children, Adolescents, & Adults 

This training event will award 2 contact hours for LMSW and LCSW with the NYSED State Board for Social Work and 2 contact hours for LMHC and LMFT with the NYSED State Board for Mental Health Practitioners and 2 CASAC renewal credits.

 

EMDR is Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy. It is very effective with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, addictions, and so many other diagnoses. The program will discuss EMDR & how it is effective with all ages and many different symptomology.

In the presentation, the 8 stages of this therapy will be discussed. In addition, specific cases that exemplify the benefits of EMDR will be reviewed. Therapeutic resources that can be used with EMDR will be covered.

Participants will gain a rudimentary understanding of EMDR and how to start the process of referring to an EMDR therapist and/or starting the process of learning EMDR.

This training will be offered via ZOOM. Pre-registratio is required and will be closed on 9/23/2021 (or when attendance capacity is reached). Following registration, you will receive a separate email with the link to the event, handouts and any forms pertaining to continuing education credits for LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT and/ or CASACrenewal. 

You are not required to have a zoom account to participate in this workshop. You do not have to utilize your device camera or audio on your end, if you do not wish to do so.
