SECOND RUNWAY 2013

Thursday, August 8th for $40.00. 

Sure to be the fashion event of the season, SECOND RUNWAY will be Thursday, August 8th, at the Jefferson Center from 5pm - 9pm.  The evening will feature a high energy, runway fashion show, a social with drinks and hors d’oeuvres, the opportunity to bid on fantastic Silent Auction items, and a shopping extravaganza with Goodwill. 

The social and shopping begin in Fitzpatrick Hall at 5pm with the runway show, in Shaftman Performance Hall, beginning at 7pm.  Do you have a great outfit that you found at Goodwill? Show it off at SECOND RUNWAY! Dress for the evening is business and business casual. 

The runway show models will include “familiar” faces from the community, as well as local Goodwill fanatics. Outfits featured in the show will be selected from the high quality, low cost fashions that are given a “Second” life when they are donated to Goodwill.

Throughout the evening you will also hear the stories of those that have received a “Second” chance because of the job training and employment programs offered by Goodwill. “SECOND RUNWAY will highlight the impact Goodwill stores are having on the community,” states Bruce Phipps, President and CEO. “People often don’t understand who or how they are helping when they donate and shop. This event will not only raise funds to support the mission, but awareness as well.”
