Visionary Marin 2018

AJoin us at Congregation Rodef Sholom on Sunday, November 11th from 3:30 - 6:00 pm as we celebrate the contributions of visionaries Bettie Hodges & Kim Mazzuca for their work in addressing education equity in Marin County.

This year’s event will honor Bettie Hodges, the executive director and founder of the Hannah Project, a non-profit that provides scholarships, workshops and resources for low income students of color. The Project has morphed into a larger effort to not only support individual students and their families, but to advocate for equity and cultural responsive systems reform. In 2015 she was inducted into the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame for her work in affordable housing and education; & Kim Mazzuca, the CEO and President of 10,000 Degrees, a local nonprofit that has helped thousands of students from low-income backgrounds get to and through college successfully. Kim was named a Nonprofit Leader of the Year by North Bay Business Journal, and in 2015 was named Legislative Woman of the Year for California’s 10th District. For full bios, click HERE.
