Meet Your Trainers

This training, sponsored by Light & Love Ministries, will be facilitated by two of our certified master regional trainers, Reverend Ginny Roll and Ann Marie DeMichael.

Ann DeMichael has served as a Prayer Chaplain at Unity of Renaissance since 2005 and as Prayer and Pastoral Director and Congregational  Care Team since 2015. As a certified Prayer Chaplain Trainer she has completed numerouos trainings with Light & Love Ministries including regional trainer certification in 2015. Ann has completed Non-Violent Comunication as well as 400 hours of Hospital Chaplaincy training with Bon Secours Hospital in 2016.

"I have worked with Rev. Ginny Roll for many years in training Prayer Chaplains in the Hampton Roads area and am excited to partner with her in this new adventure as master reginal trainers. I am pleased to work in partnership with Light and Love Ministries to continue efforts in raising the consciousness and competency of future leaders as they step forward to enhance the Prayer Chaplain ministry at their church."

Reverend Ginny Roll began her journey towards ministry as Licensed Unity Teacher serving at Unity Renaissance Church in Chesapeake, VA, from 2001 and 2005 and entered the ministerial program at Unity Village in 2005. Rev. Ginny has served in a variety of ministries including Unity Church of Hawaii, Unity Church of Tidewater in Virginia Beach, Unity Fellowship Church in Williamsburg (including 5 years as Senior Minister) and Unity Church of Tidewater.

The Prayer Chaplain Program founded by Reverend Lei Lanni Burt with Light and Love Ministires is:

• A unique sacred service program for congregants who desire to take the next step in their spiritual development; and
• A way to extend the heart, hands, and feet of the ministry's leadership by supporting congregants with prayer, home and hospital visits, and monthly Wellness Calling.

The Prayer Chaplain Trainers Workshop is designed to teach specific skills and core competencies and provides unique spiritual and professional development for ministers, licensed teachers, and lay leaders.  It gives you everything you need to start a Prayer Chaplain Program in your ministry or train a new leader for your existing program (including a Prayer Chaplain Training Manual and Trainer's Guide).  If you participated in a workshop prior to 2005 then you received the previous material.  The program has evolved considerably since its creation.  Attending this workshop provides you with the new material and the license to train it in your ministry.

Who Attends?

• Ministers and Licensed Unity Teachers (post-graduate credits available);
• LUT Candidates (practicum credits for Pastoral Care available);
• Individuals stepping into a leadership position of a new or existing program (succession planning); and
• Prayer Chaplains or other individuals desiring to deepen their prayer life and expand their spiritual education and training.

2nd Edition Trainer's Guide includes 37.5 hours of core Prayer Chaplain training power point with t rainer's notes; adaptations for small ministries; guide to customizing your Wellness Calling; and Tips for Trainers.

Registration Rates  

 Early- Bird Registration Fee:  $400 (by February 8, 2019)

Regular Registration Fee:  $450

Group Registration Fee:  $380 (per person for groups of 2 or more from the same ministry)

Host Ministry Fee:  $350 (per person for participants from Unity Church for Creative Living)

Trainer Refresher Special Rate: $200 (for those who have previously taken the training with Light & Love Ministries and are willing to bring their own material).

Hotel Information

We have been able to secure a group rate of $129 per night at the Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville Flagler Center for March 7th through March 10th that includes a hot breakfast buffet. The block of rooms will be released on 2/16 so the last day to book is 2/15 to get this guaranteed rate.
