WSO 2022 Spring Workshop

"Sip and Paint in Hillsboro"

 Michael Holter 5-day event

 April 4 - 8, 2022

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Please see complete information regarding Michael's workshop in the November 2021 Watermark.  Workshop Registration begins November 1, 2021 and closes March 15, 2022 or when full.

Michael Holter is an amazing artist whose paintings can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the US and in several foreign countries.

He is author of many books, member of the prestigious Salmagundi Club, signature member of the Watercolor Honor Society, the American Impressionist Society, Transparent Watercolor Society, Outdoor Painters’ Society, and many more.

Michael has won countless awards, and is a much sought-after teacher/instructor. We are truly fortunate to have him as our Workshop Instructor.

If you wish to practice or learn to paint more loosely in an impressionistic style, this Workshop is the place for you.

Quoting how Michael describes his paintings:

My work is impressionistic. I like to represent people or places and allow the painting to evolve from the structure of what is recognizable. The challenge is to balance the care needed to make the representation interesting … and perhaps believable, with the freedom, looseness and painterly quality that makes paintings so unique and expressive

In this Workshop you’ll learn how Michael approaches his work, from value studies through the completed painting, and you will better understand the process to make your watercolor paintings come to life.

The live in-person workshop will cost $475.00 for WSO Active, Lifetime, and Subscriber Members.  Registration for Active and Lifetime members is open on November 1, 2021; Subscribers are welcome to register beginning December 15, 2021.

If you wish to learn more about Michael’s work, or see some of his fast-paced free demo, visit his website at michaelholter.com
