Christian Church in Mid-America, the NW Area Assembly 

Come be part of history in the making as we celebrate the transition from 33 years as the NW Area to full partnership in a restructured Mid-America Region.

(Business packets will be mailed and made available on the NWArea page of the Mid-AmericaDisciples.org web site the week of July 6.  The main item is the decision to follow suit with the other three Areas and, in our case, to formally merge the NW Area benevolent corporation with the Region of Mid-America - information about which has been circulated continually over the past year)

 

10:30                      Mission Fair featuring congregations’ best missions and ministries

A table will be provided for any congregation that wishes to showcase the work that they are doing to make and equip new disciples of Jesus Christ and to make real the Gospel in their communities.  Our hope is that this will be a time of celebrating the good work that Christ is accomplishing through us, encouraging one another (1 Thess. 5:11) and inspiring one another (Heb. 10:11) to do even more for the sake of the Gospel.  Be creative.  Use a variety of media if possible.  Let us know if you need electrical service or other accommodations  

11:30                      Worship

This will include a service of decommissioning and remembrance of what Christ has done through ministry in the Area as well as a commissioning to make the future of Mid-America one that inspires and supports congregations as they make new disciples and transform their communities in partnership with the whole Body of Christ

 

12:30                      Meal

Look forward to a sumptuous meal and great table fellowship, returning home in plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day and to imagine a brighter future in the partnership of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
