Join us at Victoria Mansion, a National Historic Landmark, for the un-casking of Allagash Brewing's 2013 Victoria Ale. A Belgian-style ale brewed with white wine grapes in the mash, Victoria Ale presents a complex flavor with subtle herbal and vinous notes. Proceeds from the brew's annual limited release are donated to benefit Victoria Mansion's historic preservation and education mission.
Held outdoors on the Mansion's private lawn, the event includes unlimited tastings of Victoria Ale, Allagash White, Allagash Black, and Honeymaker Mead from Maine Mead Works, great food, and tours of Victoria Mansion. The Pete Kilpatrick Band will perform multiple sets thoughout the event.
Tickets are only $30 ($25 for Victoria Mansion members) in advance, or $35 at the door, and include drinks and a commemorative Allagash glass.
All event proceeds benefit Victoria Mansion, a non-profit National Historic Landmark. Built between 1858 and 1860, the Mansion is widely recognized as one of the finest examples of Italianate architecture in America. It is even more distinguished for its remarkable interiors, which survive more than ninety percent intact.
Based in Portland, Maine and founded in 1995, Allagash Brewing brews a unique variety of traditional and experimental Belgian-inspired beers made with a dedication to craftsmanship and quality. The Tribute Series, which was launched in 2006 with the inaugural Victoria Ale, now includes four beers, each benefitting a different non-profit oragnization or cause.
