Infant Toddler Training

The Three R's: Responsive, Reciprocal, and Respectful Caregiving for Infants and Toddlers and Emergent Literacy Skill Development for Infants and Toddlers

As Early Childhood Professionals, we have the unique opportunity to create relationships with the children and families in our care. While this will not always be easy, it is vital that we create these relationships by providing responsive and respectful care through reciprocal interactions. Teachers engage in these interactions through one-on-one time, making the most of routine times throughout the day and have intentional and interactive conversations with even the youngest of infants! The workshop will provide participants with the foundation for what responsive caregiving looks like with infants and toddlers, share strategies for making the most of every moment and interaction and challenge the participants to create a plan to implement when they return to their own classrooms.

Each session will be offered at both times so participants can earn a total of 4 DECAL training hours if you attend both!

8:30am - 10:30am
