Safe Spaces for Learning: Creating Care and Learning Environments That Are Trauma Sensitive

Advanced Level Training

$65 Regular Registration
$50 Standard Members
Complimentary for Premium Members

Join leaders and trainers in learning about how to incorporate the lens of trauma and chronic toxic stress to achieve trauma-informed practice. Cheryl Smith Turner will lead this workshop that focuses on everything we know about how the brain responds to trauma and stress-induced behaviors. Safety is an important factor in terms of looking at learners through the lens of trauma, which is why this workshop will explore "Safe Spaces For Learning" and "..creating environments..".

Understanding the effects of traumatic experiences on children helps early childhood professionals effectively support children and families. The developmental needs of children who have experienced chronic stress is varied. In this workshop, professionals will explore the needs of children and families to promote strategies that help professionals supporting children’s development who are dealing with traumatic experiences.
