NAPSG Foundation Virtual Training - DHS Geospatial Infrastructure and FGDC Geospatial Platform

This training session will discuss and demonstrate the US DHS Geospatial Infrastructure (GII) and the Federal Geospatial Platform.  The training will include a discussion of current capabilities, the future roadmap, and data interoperability.   The Geospatial Platform is managed by the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC).

The DHS GII and FGDC Geoplatform provide foundational capabilities for servicing public-facing and sensitive, but unclassified geospatial requirements.  These capabilities leverage authoritative/trusted data sources from across the Federal government. As a result, users receive more seamless access to geospatial data that is necessary to support critical information requirements, improve the decision-making process, and help ensure users have access to the right data at the right time with the right level of access.

NAPSG is pleased to announce that this session will be run by two of the most senior geospatial advocates in the Federal government:

-David Alexander, Geospatial Management Officer, US Dept. of Homeland Security

-Jerry Johnston, Geospatial Information Officer, US Department of Interior

Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible.
