Understanding the Legal System to Best Assist Survivors of Domestic Violence

This training will provide an overview of the criminal justice system as it relates to domestic violence crimes, from arrest to the court system and sentencing. Roles of significant players within each part of the system will be explored, as will the challenges of advocating for survivors. Protective orders and other resources will also be covered.
