Advanced Course Author Training

December 7-8, 2017

In this onsite training at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, participants will learn about new Studio features, learner engagement techniques, and advanced uses of tools. All participants will use Edge to complete hands-on activities. Please bring a laptop so you can fully participate.

Who Should Attend?

 If your role includes any of the following activities, then this advanced training is for you:

• Course design and development
• Running and rerunning a course on edX
• Community management and communication
• Basic data analysis for course improvements

Prerequisites: Previous experience in edX Studio. Participants may have published a course on edX.org before or have completed the StudioX course on edX. You may have joined us in the past for new Course Author training.

Cost of Training

This advanced training is limited to edX partners only and is covered by the training seat agreement in your organization's contract. Please contact Ben at bpiscopo@edx.org if you have questions about your agreement or would like to attend advanced training despite having used your organization's existing training seats.

West Coast Suites is within 10-minutes walking distance from The Irving K. Barber Learning Center. Rooms are available to book online here. (The room block expired on Nov. 7, but there should still be availability at this location.)

Note that this event is not located at the edX Global Forum in Whistler, BC, but will be hosted by the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. Transportation on Thursday morning from the Fairmont Whistler (Global Forum) to the UBC campus will be provided.
