Order of the Engineer Ceremony for
Licensed Professional Engineers
The Order of the Engineer is an association for graduate and professional engineers in the United States that emphasizes pride and responsibility in the engineering profession. Before joining, members must take an oath to abide by a code of ethics called The Obligation of an Engineer. Members are given a stainless steel ring called the Engineer's Ring that is worn on the little finger of the working hand. Engineers who wish to participate in the ceremony and receive a ring may do so by registering for the Order of Engineer Ceremony, as well as the Banquet Dinner.
If you are also receiving a Licensure Certificate, and completing the ring ceremony, you will also need to register for the Banquet Dinner for you and your guests. A maximum of 5 guests may attend your ceremonies, but guests must be registered for the Banquet Dinner. We want to accommodate all of the newly licensed Engineers at this ceremony, and provide each attendee the opportunity to bring their parents, spouse, and other loved ones to witness a very important event in their careers. Therefore, we require all attendees to register for the Banquet in order to provide seating for all attendees, and adequate space for everyone that registers.
