Join us on March 15th at 5:30 PM as we recognize adult education leaders, celebrate a year’s worth of successful collaboration and engage in camaraderie with our colleagues, students, and allies. Beyond Books- Supporting Adult Literacy in Chicagoland is the Coalition’s third annual award show, held at the world-renowned Newberry Library.

The Coalition will present the Literacy Leader Award to City Colleges Chancellor Juan Salgado. Chancellor Salgado has been a longtime advocate for adult learners and a champion of career pathway programming as a method for moving adults out of poverty. We will also recognize an exceptional instructor and adult learner with the Shirley Jenkins Adult Education Provider Award and the Adult Learner Award. Purchase your tickets today!
