Turkey Day Regatta

The annual Turkey Day Regatta pursuit race on upper Galveston Bay is the last large regatta of the year and it's a great way to usher in the holiday season!  Join South Coast Sailing Adventures and take advantage of a great opportunity to perfect sail trimming and navigation techniques while maximizing boat speed. 

The race committee will run as many races as possible during the event; usually two.  Event specifics will be announced at the skipper's meeting. Space is limited to 6-8 racers.  Registration deadline is November 16.

Tentative Schedule

Saturday

 8:00 am   Check in at SCSA for skipper & crew briefing

 8:30 am   Complete departure checklist and depart the dock

10:30 am  First race begins (approximate time)

 5:00 pm  Sail to HYC for the after race party and awards; overnight aboard the vessel

Sunday

  9:00 am  Depart Houston Yacht Club

11:00 am  Return to the Marina

Public: $295 per sailor

Club Members: $255 per sailor

$10 late fee applies after November 14

The fees include boat usage, overnight accommodations aboard the vessel, race registration fees and entrance to the race after-party and awards ceremony.
