Check In: 7:15 - 7:45 for Kings G/60

 Check In: 8:15 - 8:45 All other Sections

Kings G/60 Start Time: 8:00 am   End Time: 3:00 pm

All other sections Start Time: 9:00 am   End Time: 4:00 pm

Cost: 
$15.00 per player.
$ 5.00 Late fee after January 4th

Note:  A current USCF membership ($16-$24/yr., depending on age) will be required in the Advanced and Open Sections.
New USCF memberships and renewals are available through us or online at www.uschess.org

Equipment: 
Please bring chess clocks if you have them. 
(Boards and pieces will be provided.)

Awards:
1)  Trophies will be given to the top three places in each section with medals for 4th and 5th place finishes
2)  Two medals will be given in each section for Sportsmanship.

Team trophy for 1st and 2nd place finishes for each section exluding King section.  Top 4 scores for teams will determine placement.  Teams must have a minimum of 2 players to qualifty for a trophy.

King section will receive cash awards for top 3 finishes.

*Solkoff will be used as tiebreaker.  If teams are tied then the total solkoff score will be used to determine winner.  

Section Details:
Knight Sections:  For beginning unrated players and players rated < 601.

This division will be split into smaller sections based on number of registrants and age.  5 round Swiss, G30, NWSRS rated, but not USCF rated.  Recording is not required.  Clocks will be used only if both players agree or if the tournament director assigns a clock.

Bishop Sections:  For intermediate unrated players and players rated 601 – 899.

The U900 division will be split into smaller sections based on number of registrants and rating, or age if unrated.  5 round Swiss, G35, NWSRS rated. Recording is not required.  Clocks may be assigned and must be used if a director or player brings one to the table.

Rook Sections:  Anyone may play in this division, but players with USCF or NWSRS ratings > 900 MUST play here. 

This division will be split into sections based on number of registrants and rating, or age if unrated.   4 round Swiss, G40, dual rated. Clocks must be used if a director or player brings one to the table.   Recording and current USCF membership required. 

King/Open Section:  Players with NWSRS rating 1200+ play in the open section, but lower rated players are also welcome.  Players with USCF or NWSRS ratings > 1200 MUST play here. 4 rounds, G/60.

Queen Section:  Players will be GIRLS only and may be divided by age and rating.   Time control will range from G/30-G/40, depending on how the section will be divided.
