About the Presenter:

Janelle Arsich is a consultant at HRtoGO. She has more than 20 years of experience in the HR and business administration. Janelle's focus is on employee relations, performance management, payroll and accounting, benefits administration, employee handbooks and legal compliance. Janelle’s favorite focus is in the creation and implementation of a professional and effective HR management presence in small and mid-sized companies.

What to Expect:

This webinar will focus on record keeping so employers can determine if their personnel and financial records would survive the scrutiny of an audit, wage claim, or civil rights complaint. This presentation will also help businesses determine if their records would provide the necessary information to respond to a state or federal lawsuit. Among the most frequently litigated workplace disputes are those that stem from disciplinary actions and employee terminations. This webinar will provide employers with the knowledge and tools to properly document financial transactions, employee performance, keep employees on track, and fairly and swiftly handle a termination.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Best practices on documenting employee performance, financial transactions, and other monetary activities.
  • Handling financial records in compliance with laws and regulations for safe keeping and auditing.
  • Keeping employees on the right track with performance.
  • Handling and documenting disciplinary issues.
  • Dealing with employment termination legally and fairly.
  • How to avoid common pitfalls and prevent expensive litigation.
  • And more!

Agenda:

  • 10 a.m. Welcome and presentation begins.
  • 11 a.m. Questions and answers.
  • 11:15 a.m. Closing comments.
Henry
