About our Speaker

Judith A. Herbert, Certified Genealogist® is a member of the Editorial Board of The Record, the quarterly peer reviewed journal of the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society (NYG&B). Her genealogical book reviews appear regularly in the National Genealogical Society Quarterly. She specializes in records and research in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, from the Colonial period to the early twentieth-century. She teaches genealogy classes in partnership with the Schenectady County (NY) Historical Society, and is a guest lecturer for genealogical groups in the northeastern United States. She served as mentor for the ProGen 38 Study Group. Judith has been assisting clients with their research for over ten years. She lives in New York’s Capital District.
