The Weekend Session is now full.  We are accepting applications for the FolkDays only.

All is not lost, however!  We are accepting names for the Waiting List.  In the registration form there is a question asking if you would like to be put on the Weekend Waiting List and how this would affect your FolkDays registration.

STAFF

The Folk Arts Center's international dance and music session at Pinewoods Camp in Plymouth, Massachusetts is the ideal time and place to "get away from it all"! 

Our dance instructors this year are:  Sonia Dion and Cristian Florescu (Romanian dancing), and Jennifer Brosious and Laine Harris (Scandinavian dancing).

Sonia and Cristian were last seen in these here parts back in 2015 and it is a toss-up as to who is more excited about their return - Cristian and Sonia themselves or the rest of us!  With their passion for Romanian dancing, coupled with their delight in sharing it with others and their penchant for fun, the 2020 sessions at camp are sure to be memorable!

Neither Jennifer nor Laine have ever been to Pinewoods, and we are delightedly anticipating introducing them to our little slice of heaven for the week.  Many of us have enjoyed learning from and dancing to their teaching and music-making and are looking forward to spending a week's worth of quality time with them at camp.

Live Music - Evening Dance Parties and Workshops
There will be hours of live music every night for our eclectic programs of international dancing!  And even more live music to be enjoyed at our renowned "after-parties"!  During the Weekend we will enjoy the sounds of The Pinewoods Band, and the FolkDays will feature the newly-christened The Flying Squirrels Orchestra.

Brian Wilson will be playing for the Scandinavian dance workshps during the Weekend and lydia ievens will be playing for the FolkDays.

A limitation of this online registration service is that you may register only ONCE under any given email address ... so if you have more than one person sharing an email address in your family, MAKE SURE to register them by pressing the "Add" button after you've registered yourself!

If you forget, don't despair, and certainly don't leave home without them (!), just call the FAC office and we'll take their registration over the phone. Or, you can download a pdf application from the FAC website and mail it in to the offices (address at the top left side of this page).

This registration process will ask basic information about you and require a deposit.  You may pay the deposit online with PayPal, or send a check to the office.  We're sorry, but we are not able to accept credit card payments online.  You will receive an immediate confirmation once you have successfully navigated the registration process, and an additional email seconding that confirmation later in the day.  A final email confirming whether you have been accepted or waitlisted will be forthcoming a few days thereafter.

After you have been accepted to camp, the FAC office will send you a link to another form that will gather more detailed information on arrival/departure from camp, housing preferences, dietary restrictions and camper job choices.

NOTE!!  Some people have been experiencing technical difficulties trying to sign up online.  If you do not receive immediate gratification in the form of a "Congratulations!  You have successfully registered ..." note, and/or if you find yourself in an infinite loop of being sent back to an almost-empty registration form, try typing your street address in twice.  Don't ask me why, but that often solves the "problem".  If that does not work, contact the office.
