2015 Local Food Policy & Advocacy Training

If West Virginia local food is your passion, we need to hear your voice in public policy.

Join us on June 16th at the Summersville Conference Center to get everything you need to become an effective local food policy advocate.

The day will include:

  • How have local food laws been passed? by Susan Maslowski of the WVFMA Policy Working Group
  • Good Laws, Good Food: Putting Food Policy to Work for our Communities, by Elizabeth Spellman of the West Virginia Food & Farm Coalition
  • Media training: How to stay on message when you're talking to the media & decision makers.
  • A panel with representatives from all corners of the legislative world, from state senators to advocates.
  • Working Groups will breakout to discuss possible policy campaigns for 2016 and beyond.
  • Lunch & networking opportunities.

Now is the time to think about the future of local food in West Virginia!

Registration is $15 and includes lunch.
