2017 EWGA Highway Series - Innisbrook Golf Club 

The Highway Series is back!  Orlando will have 2 -  8 person match play teams from Orlando  who will compete against 8 person teams from each of 7 other chapters in Florida/South Georgia, plus one team from two other guest chapters for this one day match play event.   

The event is being hosted by the Tampa Bay EWGA Chapter on January 28, 2017 at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club.  The event will be played on the North and South Courses at the resort.  The cost of the event is $100 which includes a reception on Friday Night, January 27 at 6:30PM at the Resort, plus 18 holes of golf on Saturday and lunch immediately following.

Special hotel rates at the resort have been negotiated with single rooms at $139 a night, executive suites at $159, one bedroom suites at $179 and 2 bedroom suites at $299.  Room rates are subject to a $20 per person per night resort fee and applicable sales tax.  To reserve your room - call 800-492-6899 and identify yourself as being with the EWGA Highway Series.

Practice rounds are available on Friday, January 27 for $50.  Tee times can be made 30 days in advance of the event.

Remember - the format is a team event playing individual match play.  The team with the most points wins the event.  Points are earned by winning holes.  A player wins a hole by scoring the lowest "net" score on a hole.

 We are initially being limitied to 2 teams of 8 - but I expect we will be allowed at least 1 more team.  The first 16 players to register will be on the first 2 teams.  After that, the next 8 players will be on our first additional team - if we are awarded additional teams.  We will also be taking reservations for alternates or players willing to play on hybrid teams (teams consisting of players from multiple chapters.)

 Participants must have an established handicap with 4 scores posted between October 1st and January 1st.  Handicap cutoff date is January 1, 2017.  You will compete against like handicap players so all play levels are welcomed.
