2017 Agricultural Conservation Technical Training Boot Camp Level II 

Sponsored by the Natural Resources Conservation Service, PA Department of  Agriculture/State Conservation Commission, and the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts, Inc.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Appropriate for those who attended a Basic training held at Fort Indiantown Gap in the years 2000-2016, those who attended one track of level II last year and would now like to attend the other, and those with 1 to 3 years of professional experience.

Please note: Boot Camp is not a two-week course. The instructors prefer that you use the information you learned in Basic for a year and take Level II the year following Basic. This is not a 2-week course. Do not apply for Basic and Level II in the same year.

If you do not receive confirmation from PACD, you will not be admitted. No walk-ins will be accepted. 

COURSE CONTENT
General (provided to all): Conservation Planning and Ag Waste System Planning -  plus the topics covered by your "track."

FEES
Participant registration fees are waived.  Funding is provided through a Special Leadership Development Project Grant, sponsored by the Natural Resources Conservation Service and the State Conservation Commission.

LODGING
All participants may take advantage of the room block rate, but only conservation district staff will be reimbursed by PACD for their overnights.

Rate: $60.00 (includes tax) for 2 queen beds or 1 king  (single or double occupancy). You must ask for the "PACD Room Block" when making your reservation. The room block expires on April 11.

PACD will reimburse the conservation district (up to $70/person/day) for the lodging of those whose office is more than 45 miles away from Fort Indiantown Gap. Monday through Thursday evenings only.

The training itself will be held at the Keystone Conference Center at Fort Indiantown Gap.

MEALS
Lunch will be provided. Breakfast, snacks, and dinner will not be provided. A complimentary continental breakfast is available at the Days Inn. Please plan to bring your own snacks and refillable water bottle.
