Conference Highlights

wheat.jpgPACD Conservation Committee:
Farm Bill Update

July 17, 2019 | 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) calls the Farm Bill the single largest funding program for private land conservation in the United States, providing support for conservation programs, commodity programs, crop insurance, and food security. PACD is pleased to welcome Eric Hansen, NACD Government Affairs Manager and Northeast Region Representative, to the PACD Conservation Committee meeting, where he will provide an update on the 2018 Farm Bill.

Concurrent Sessions
July 17, 2019 | 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Changes to the USDA NRCS Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP)
RCPP offers new opportunities for the NRCS, conservation partners, and agricultural producers to work together to harness innovation, expand the conservation mission and demonstrate the value and efficacy of voluntary private lands conservation. This session will help participants understand the RCPP program under the 2018 Farm Bill. Attendees will learn about the Farm Bill’s statutory changes to RCPP and see how existing projects might compare to new potential projects.

PA Energy Horizons Report - Cover Pennsylvania’s Energy Horizons
Presented by the PA Department of Community & Economic Development
Have you ever wondered how PA's energy system might change in the next 25 years, and what it means for Pennsylvanians? If so, you’ll want to join us for this session to learn about the recently released PA Energy Horizons Report. The report was developed over two years by bringing together stakeholders in the energy arena to answer just this question, and offers several scenarios for how PA's energy outlook could unfold.
