Dr. Kecia Harris, Speaker
Kecia Harris is a biomedical scientist, health and wellness consultant, and speaker with more than 15 years’ experience with the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention and the pharmaceutical industry. Her background includes expertise in infectious and chronic disease research and oncology education.
Additionally, her training and work as a former middle- and high-school teacher significantly contributes to her ability to make the most complicated, technical information understandable. Harris is the founder and principal manager of KD2 Consultants LLC, a company focused on health and wellness training and certification related to emerging, critical health issues and policies for public and private organizations and the general public. She is a certified trainer for Basic Life Support.
Harris earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Spelman College and a Master’s in Science Education from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She also earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedical Sciences from Morehouse School of Medicine. In 2019, she earned the prestigious Executive Education Leadership Certification at Emory University's Goizueta Business School.
