Berks/Schuylkill and Lehigh Valley SCORE chapters and ThePennsylvania Community Development and Finance Corp. (PCDfc) will present to Berks, Lehigh and surrounding communities a full day workshop for women-owned businesses called “EvolveHer.” The workshop will offer educational sessions and networking with other growth-orientedand innovative women entrepreneurs from across the region. Sessions will cover such topics as “Growing Your Small Business-Harvest Some New Ideas” presented by Joellen Reichenbach, Select Sales, Creative Marketing Solutions and “Who Runs the World? Digitally Savvy Women Entrepreneurs” presented by Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt from Suasion Communications Group.
Joellen Reichenbach, (Owner of Select Sales, Creative Marketing Solutions which is a certifiedDBA company) CAS is known as the creative solutions provider and people connector here in the Lehigh Valley. She has achieved industry leader certification in the promotional products industry as a Certified Advertising Specialist (CAS). This specialized training gives her the expertise to deliver products and services in an innovative and cost-effective way to her clients. Joellen has been featured in “20 Under 40”- a salute to youthful achievers – and is deeply involved with local business groups, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Nazareth Bath Chamber and Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation’s Office of Minority and Women Owned Businesses. She’s a strong believer in giving back to her community, founder of the Lehigh Valley Nonprofit Awareness Annual Expo, and she volunteers with many non-profits and services on multiple boards. Her company was honored with Sands Casino Supplier Diversity Award in 2016 and has numerous awards for her volunteering efforts.
Joellen’s goal is the success of every organization with whom she works. You’ll often find her creating promotional buzz for her clients’ events and successes through her company’s own marketing channels via social media and email marketing. Joellen recently graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Training where she learned to write her next business growth plan. She believes you have to be involved in order to evolve in life and business.
Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt is president of Suasion Communications Group, an award-winning communications agency based in Somers Point, NJ, which she founded in 2007. At Suasion, Susan leads a team of creative professionals who execute highly successful branding, public relations, digital and marketing campaigns. Suasion is the winner of 2015 HSMAI Gold and Silver Adrian Awards; a 2014 HSMAI Gold Adrian Award; two 2013 Ragan’s PR Daily Awards, 2015, 2014, 2011, 2010 & 2009 NJ Tourism Excellence Awards; a 2011 HSMAI Silver Adrian Award and a 2009 HSMAI Bronze Adrian Award. Susan completed her MBA degree at Stockton University in Pomona, NJ and earned a dual BAdegree in Communications and English from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. After college, she worked as an Anchor/Reporter at NBC-TV 40 and as a Public Relations Manager at Showboat Casino Hotel. Later, Susan was Marketing Director for Great American Trolley Company, where she was responsible for developing the company’s wedding, convention and tour divisions. She has also served as the Assistant Director of the Small Business Development Center of Atlantic, Cape May & Cumberland counties. She enjoys mentoring students and serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Stockton’s School of Business. Susan has been recognized for her professional achievements. Most recently, she was selected for the 2015 Philadelphia Business Journal Entrepreneur of the Year Award as well as Stockton University’s 2014 Professional Achievement Award. Susan is the first female to run for State Senate in the history of New Jersey’s First Legislative District (Cape/Cumberland/Atlantic).
“Evolve Her” a workshop designed for Women entrepreneurs in Berks County, Lehigh County and surrounding communities. Small Business women-owners will be given the opportunity to network with other women entrepreneurs and gain knowledge through others' experiences. Roundtable discussions have been incorporated into the agenda with a focus on small business financing, health care, social media, and more. Registration is required, and a fee of $40 includes breakfast and lunch. Networking will follow immediately after the event.

SCORE is a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business administration made up of counselors to America’s Small Business, with a mission to grow the economies and jobs in local communities by providing mentoring and education to small business owners.
