Enhancing Dementia Care through Collaboration

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

There was so much interest in this event that we had to close registration. Stay tuned, we will open spots as they become available. Thank you for your interest in this event!

The projected increase in the number of individuals living with dementia provides an opportunity to change the way we think about and approach dementia care. During her presentation, Dr. McAiney will share examples of collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing care experiences for persons living with dementia, family care partners and staff/team members.

Refreshments will be served following the presentation.

In addition to her role as Schlegel Reseqarch Chair, Dr. Carrie McAiney will join the School of Public Health and Health Systems as a Professor at the University of Waterloo. For the past 18 years, she was a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. She is the Co-Director of the Partnerships in Dementia Care Alliance, and a member of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences Panel for the Assessment of Evidence and Best Practices for the National Dementia Strategy.

Please note parking for this event is a short 5 minute walk from the building. Accessible parking is available out front. You will receive an email prior to the event confirming directions and parking details.
