Elementary Best Buddies (Grade 3-5): Open to all schools 

Begins January 9, 9 sessions 

We are customizing our VERY POPULAR Gates and HS Best Buddies programs for our elementary students!!!!  Best Buddies provides peer buddy and social thinking training opportunities as well as many field trips and social activities for ALL students to participate!  Maximum for this program is 30 students.  Best Buddies enhances a caring, compassionate and social school community that encourages peer to peer support and acceptance of differences.  Interested students will apply for the program with a parent registration.   Students NEW to Best Buddies must submit a simple teacher recommendation, found on the CORSE website - www.corsefoundation.org TEACHER RECOMMENDATION MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE NOVEMBER 10, OR YOUR SLOT WILL BE REPLACED BY A STUDENT ON THE WAIT LIST.  Program sessions will alternate between on-site social thinking and team building activities as well as field trips.  

Selected Best Buddies are expected to commit to ALL sessions, attendance is mandatory for continued participation in the program.  There are a set number of slots reserved for students who receive Special Education services.  If those reserved spaces do not fill by November 10, all remaining slots are filled first come, first served.
