School Safety and Security for Police Supervisors 

This one-day course is designed for supervisors who respond, and/or supervise calls for service in New Jersey schools, are responsible for the supervision of School Resource Officers, Class III Officers, or are the designated police liaison to the school district.

Topics Covered Include: Police Liaison to Schools requirements; Supervising response to school based Incidents; Supervising SROs, Class III Officers and/or Patrol Officers during school based incidents; Updates to State Memorandum of Agreement Between Education and Law Enforcement Officials; School Emergency Plan Consultations; Search and Seizure; Juvenile Interviews and Interrogations; School Mandatory and Discretionary Incident Reporting; Bias Incidents and Crimes; SARS Threats of Violence in Schools Reporting; Marijuana/Cannabis Reporting requirements for schools; Police responsibilities for Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying incidents; and more!
