About the Tour

The 2018 AIA East Bay Home Tours features six houses located in Piedmont, Berkeley, Albany and Piedmont. The houses open at 10am and close at 4:30pm. 

Tour-goers drive their own cars to the houses and find their own parking on nearby streets.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get my tickets?
Select the delivery option to have them shipped, OR, you can pick tickets up at will-call at the tour-day headquarters on August 4 between 9am-noon: Bica Coffeehouse, 5701 College Ave, Oakland (near the Rockridge BART station). 

I'd like to bring my children, is that okay?
The minimum age to attend is 12 years. If parents wish to bring a younger child to the tour, one parent will be asked to remain outside the homes with the child at all times. Babies may be carried in a front-facing chest-carrier or baby sling. Strollers, back-carriers, and "babes in arms" are not allowed.

Pets
Pets are not allowed on the tour--even in carry-cases. If you have a service animal please contact AIA East Bay staff prior to August 1st so we may alert our docents.

Photos/Videos/Cellphones
Photography/videos/live streaming is not allowed inside the homes. This rule is strictly enforced with a "no cellphone" policy.

Footwear
All tourgoers are provided protective shoe covers to wear when entering each house. Contractor boots, high heels, and flip flops are not advised. Sorry, bare feet are not allowed.

Is the tour fully accessible to the disabled?
These private homes often have stairways and steep driveways that require some walking and maneuvering. We apologize but access is not available for the disabled.

You hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless AIA East Bay, its affiliates (including Tour architects and homeowners) and other related entities, their directors, officers, administrators, managers, employees, representatives and all other persons acting on behalf of AIA East Bay from and against any and all claims, actions, damages or other demands, including, but not limited to, reasonable costs and expenses of litigation such as counsel fees, arising from or relating to your purchase of tickets and your use of this website and any content contained herein.
