Featuring an intensive personal financial education “boot camp" designed to improve teacher’s capacity to include personal finance instruction in the classroom.
Registration Fee - $25*
The "boot camp" was created by the New Jersey Coalition for Financial Education and will be presented by Dr. Barbara O'Neill and Carole Glade, leading experts on financial education and training. Dr. O'Neill serves as Professor II in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University, and is Rutgers Cooperative Extension's Extension Specialist in Financial Resource Management. In a recent national study, 89 percent of K-12 teachers agreed that students should either take a financial education course, or pass a competency test for high school graduation, however, relatively few teachers believed they were prepared to teach personal finance topic. Read more.
