Angels vs. The Crowd: The New Era of Equity Funding

Presenter: Don Gooding, Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development, Greg Fryer, Verrill Dana

With the impending advent of equity crowdfunding – enabling anyone to potentially invest in any private company – entrepreneurs will need to figure out when and if “old school” angel investing makes sense. Basics of angel investing and crowdfunding, and the status of the recently passed Maine Crowdfunding bill will precede a discussion of the tradeoffs. This lunch and learn will feature Don Gooding, Executive Director of MCED and Vice Chair of Maine Angels, and Greg Fryer, Partner, Verrill Dana.

Please feel free to bring your lunch to enjoy. We will provide, coffee, tea and water. Please note, if you choose to pay at the door, only cash and checks are accepted at this time.
