Khandro Sangwa Yeshé, the secret wisdom Dakini, is a manifestation of the enlightened feminine principle. She appears in a blazing mass of wisdom's powerful energy that incinerates all our inner delusions.
You are invited to take part in this special 4th Annual Sangwa Yeshé Drubchöd Retreat at Ewam's Garden of One Thousand Buddhas in Arlee, Montana. This profound practice, starting Monday, June 6th, is led by Vajra Master Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche, Namchak Khenpo and other Lamas. It will be accomplished in four daily sessions taking place in front of the beautiful Yum Chenmo statue on the lovely grounds of the Garden. You will receive the requisite empowerment bestowed by Rinpoche at the beginning of the retreat.
Beginning on June 5th, 2016, our founder and teacher Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche as well as many Khenpos, tulkus, lamas, yogis and yoginis will come to the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas to preside over a Bodhicitta prayer festival and several extensive practices related to the dakini Sangwa Yeshe. We would like to extend our invitations to all who are interested in joining us in these practices in order to pacify all illness and violence in the world and spread peace and happiness to all. Buddhist practitioners are especially encouraged to attend enabling everyone to fully unfold the dual benefit of self and other.
On June 4th from 8-9am, Khenpo Orgyen Wangchuk will give an introduction to the dakini Sangwa Yeshe. From 1-2:30 p.m. Lama Wangmo will give a tour of our garden and a teaching on calm abiding meditation. There will also be a teaching by Lopön Namchak Dorji on the meaning and usage of ritual instruments. On the morning of June 5th we will begin our 3rd Annual Bodhicitta prayer festival (Mönlam) at 8am followed by the 3rd Annual Tibetan Cultural Festival from 1-5pm.
On June 6th we will commence the Sangwa Yeshe Drubchöd with special events on each day as follows: June 7th: Rinpoche will give the Sangwa Yeshe Empowerment. June 8th: We will have a *Pacifying Fire Puja and ceremony to deliver the deceased.
June 9th: We will enthrone and bless our large statue of Guru Rinpoche as the chief figure to preside near our pond.
June 10th: We will have a *Sixfold Chöd ceremony for the benefit of the sick.
June 11th: Lama Tsomo will give a teaching on calm abiding meditation.
June 12th: We will distribute the accomplishment substances and conclude with a *Magnetizing Fire Puja.
An Explanation of Special Drubchöd Activities:
*June 8: Pacifying Fire Puja and Delivering the Deceased: This puja is done for the sake of people and animals who have passed away. Through the power of sacred substances, mantra, and samadhi their negativity and obscurations can be purified and their consciousness delivered to the Pure Lands. In order to do this, we need a piece of the deceased's bone, hair, or at least their name to use in the puja.
*June 10: The Sixfold Chöd Puja: This practice is done in order to sever the continuity of chronic illness and clear away obstacles that deplete one's life force. If the sick are able to attend the puja in person that's the best, but if not one can provide some of their hair or nail clippings instead.
*June 12: Magnetizing Fire Puja: This is done for the purpose of magnetizing resources and fulfilling one's desires. It's best if one can offer a red flower for the sake of this puja, but if not providing one's name will also suffice.

Enrollment for the Mönlam, and seven day Drupchöd is $675 (discount for members, camping, commuting, and early registrations) per person and includes a bed, or a tent camping space, portable outdoor facilities, and thee meals per day. Participants must arrive by Saturday, June 4th (if attending the Mönlam Prayer and Cultural Festival Day on June 5th). The retreat will end on Sunday, June 12th by noon. If you need a shuttle from the airport, please note that on the registration form. Accommodations We ask that you use the outdoor portable toilets as much as possible to reduce the stress on the septic system at the sangha house. Camping Bring your own tent and gear and sleep outside which reduces the cost of the retreat. Temperatures during the day range anywhere from 50-80 and in the evenings it can range anywhere from 30-60 degrees. Campers and RV’s are also welcome. Food Ewam serves three healthy vegetarian meals daily served. There will be a cook for lunch and dinner, however you will prepare your own breakfast with food provided. Items for breakfast will be: nut butters, jelly, cereal, muesli, milk, yogurt (fat-free, regular), fruit, bread, oatmeal, and eggs. We cannot accommodate all dietary needs and preferences, but invite you to tell us your concerns here. We will work with you as best we can! Air and Ground Transportation We are 30 minutes from the Missoula airport. There is a section on the registration form for you to list whether you need a shuttle from the airport and your flight details. Depending on how many people are flying in for this retreat, you may have to wait at the airport for your ride to limit the amount of trips back and forth. If you are driving, here are directions to Ewam and the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas. Payment Karma Yoga Karma Yoga (work service) represents time offered to support the needs of the retreat and is an intrinsic part of spiritual practice. All retreatants are expected to participate in approximately one hour of karma yoga daily. We greatly appreciate your willingness to help in this way. You will have the same job every day can trade jobs with people if you prefer on your own. What to Bring
Texts We will be using the Sangwa Yeshe texts from last year (or perhaps will have new ones) and the Cascade of Blessings. More will be available for purchase. Many of you may already have these texts from last year, so please bring them along. If not, please note on the registration form if you would like to purchase them so we have enough copies available for everyone. Gochen Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche is the founder and spiritual director of Ewam International Centers. Rinpoche was recognized in early childhood as the reincarnation of the Gochen Tulku. Sang-ngag Rinpoche is an outstanding meditation master and scholar. Rinpoche's vision of a peace garden in a mountainous valley came to him as a small child, eventually leading him to Montana to build the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas.
