Priti enjoys a full-time yoga therapy practice based in Salida, CO. She offers individual sessions, classes, workshops, retreats,customized training and in-depth extended study, both online and in-person. Join Priti as she shares best practices from 8 years of full-time yoga therapy practice working with individuals and groups enriched by 23+ years of dedicated training in dance, yoga, and bodywork. This course offers principles and techniques to support life-long vibrancy for practitioners, as well as empowering practitioners and teachers to utilize touch and physical assistance to catalyze and transmit the experience of integration. 

We recommend full weekend attendance for yoga therapists and yoga teachers, and offer anyone the option to attend the introduction on Friday as well as the Saturday Yoga Class, though space is limited.

Full Weekend
• Elevate confidence and skill of yoga therapists and yoga teachers in utilizing touch
• Learn and practice specific techniques for maintaining joint health and body mechanics (practitioners)
• Learn and practice specific techniques for maintaining energetic and psycho-immunity (practitioners)
• Learn principles to tailor personal practice to constantly build Self awareness that is the foundation for connection with others (practitioners)
• Understand a non-doing therapeutic approach: intention vs fixing
• Understand the principles and power of “listening touch”
• Learn and practice techniques for skillful and safe handling of bodies, including touch, weight-bearing, weight sharing, and initiating movement from gravity center
• Learn and practice various qualities and techniques of therapeutic touch and discuss when and how these might be appropriate
• Apply what you have learned in YTT and YT to refine your practice of therapeutic observation and use of touch to enhance the student/client experience
• Discuss issues and challenges related to touch in yoga and yoga therapy and dissolve barriers to accessing the healing power of touch in practice

Friday Evening Introduction

An opportunity to reconsider the role and importance of touch in the context of modern yoga teaching and yoga therapy practice. The session will be both informative and experiential, designed to inspire a renewed exploration of our innate capacity to heal through touch.


Saturday Morning Sadhana Yoga Class

Priti will be teaching specific practices to maintain practitioner health and body mechanics as well as conduct “self-based research“ that informs the physical application of yoga therapy.
