"Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder: Challenges and Hope for Parents and Providers"

The Family Advocacy Network (FAN), a program at Mental Health America of the Triangle (MHAT), will present a free educational opportunity which will provide participants information about the challenges and hope around raising a child with FASD. The workshop will take place on Saturday, September 12th, 10:00am to 12:00noon at Freedom House Recovery Center.

Kathy Hotelling

Kathy Hotelling, PhD, will facilitate this compelling workshop which delves into the complications in parenting a child who was prenatally exposed to alcohol. The information she provides will offer parents hope and resources.

Providers treating children with FASD are also invited to attend to gain useful information which will benefit them as they work with parents raising children on the fetal alcohol spectrum.

This workshop is offered free of charge, however, donations are gratefully accepted to help offset expenses.

Deadline to register is Thursday, September 10th.
