With the release of Mayor Garcetti’s Green New Deal pLAn, Los Angeles has set goals for all new buildings to be net zero carbon by 2030 and for 100 percent of buildings to be net zero carbon by 2050. Achieving this goal will take the unified effort of city departments, the utility, and building owners.
