The “Making It Work” Fair creates awareness and builds excitement among high school juniors and seniors about career opportunities in manufacturing. The 3rd Annual Fair is being hosted by Rockwood Lithium at their new Global Technical Center in Kings Mountain.

The event continues to grow with over 200 regional Career & Technical Education students from Cleveland and Rutherford County planning to attend. They will participate in an Engineering Competition facilitated by NCSU, a Tour of Rockwood's modern manufacturing facility and a Showcase and Scavenger Hunt.

Participating Senior students are invited to compete for college scholarships through an essay on "What did you get from the Fair?". The total number and value of the scholarships will be determined based on the total number and amout of sponsorships.

You are invitied to EXHIBIT at the Showcase as an EVENT SPONSOR ($300 regisitration fee). Each student will have a chance to learn about your business and careers in manufacturing as part of the Scavenger Hunt. 

Additionally, PREMIER SPONSORS ($500 registration fee) will be specifically acknowledged during the opening and closing ceremonies and have their company logos on the event t-shirt.

There are a limited number of NAMED SCHOLARSHIP SPONSORSHIPS ($1000 regisitration fee) with a specific scholarship named in honor of your business and presented by you to the winning student.
