Summer Splash, Cohasset Marine Institute’s largest fundraiser and social event of the year, is on Saturday August 19 starting at 6PM.

This year, we're especially excited to announce the first ever CMI Rib-Off Cooking Competition as part of Summer Splash.

How will YOUR Ribs Stand Up to the Heat?

Up to 20 teams will battle it out to determine the BEST of the best. CMI will give you the basics--8 racks of ribs and serving containers--and your team provides the magic. Prepare your ribs in secret off site and bring your ready-to-serve winners prior to the start of the event for judging. The winning team will be announced at the start of the event, and will be crowned with 12 months of bragging rights as creators of the best ribs on the South Shore!

Chicken? Then Just Come to Eat, Enjoy the Band, and Be Happy!

No need to fly to Memphis for a tasty night like this one (note: we aren't serving chicken). In addition to soothing your rowing blisters with delectable BBQ rubs and sauces, we'll have a full spread of accompanying sides, along with an open beer and wine bar .

Live entertainment featuring Billy and the Goats!

The cost to enter a Rib-Off team is $200 dollars, however this gets you 4 tickets to the event (which are otherwise $50 each) along with the 8 racks of ribs and all serving containers.
