Volunteer Registration 

Cumberland Arts Festival 

The Tenth Annual Cumberland Arts Festival will be held August 18, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. A crowd of 3,000 is expected to attend this art, craft and music festival with the Town of Cumberland Farmers Market. Volunteers for a number of roles are needed and we hope we can count on your time and talents to make this festival a success! 

Volunteer roles available:

Prior to Festival Day: 

Information Distribution Coordinator:

Distribute and post flyers, posters and other festival related information to businesses, libraries and gathering spots.

Community Outreach Coordinator:

Set-up displays at various community events to publicize Cumberland Arts Festival. Contact organizations to arrange a Cumberland Arts speaker. Cultivate interest and support of the festival. 

Communications/Marketing Coordinator:

Assist Event Chair with promotion and marketing efforts such as news releases, media contact, etc.

Set-up Crew:

Friday, 8/17/2018 equipment set-up, 4 pm to 8 pm

 

On Festival Day: 

Parking Attendant:

Volunteers will assist with the arrival of vendors and help direct them to their booth and parking spaces. As festival visitors arrive for the day volunteers will assist in directing them to available parking spots. Two hour shifts starting at 6:30 a.m.

Artist Registration Attendant:

Volunteers will assist in greeting food vendors and artisans arriving to the festival, directing them to their booth space and assisting them in their booth set up. Two hours shifts starting at 6:30 a.m. 

Hospitality Attendant:

Volunteers will work throughout the day greeting guests, passing out programs and providing directions to booths, answering questions about festival activities and assisting vendors/artists as needed. Two hour shifts starting at 8:00 a.m.

Silent Auction Attendant:

Volunteers will help set up and/or stage auction items at various times during the week of the event including the day of the event. Volunteers will also monitor silent auction booth and answer any questions visitors might have about items and/or bids.

Bounce House and Kid's Zone Attendant:

Volunteers will manage children in and out of Bounce House. Also assist with children at carnival area. Two hour shifts starting at 8 a.m. 

Set-Up and Tear-Down Crew:

Saturday, 8/18/2018 equipment set-up, 6:30 am to 9:00 am. Tear down equipment, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Church Building Monitor:

Provide assistance to voluteers and festival visitors entering and exiting Cumberland First Baptist Church. Two hour shifts starting at 9 a.m.

Plein Air Art Competition Assistant:

Provide assistance to artists and visitors at the Plein Air Art Display.  Two hour shifts starting at 8 a.m.
